In 1993, Al Plantenga Jr. started Lakeshore Custom Painting and Finishing while attending Western Michigan University. Working for a college painting company taught him the fundamentals of operating a painting contractor business. Tenacity, hard work, and a common-sense approach to customer service have been the core foundations of Lakeshore Custom Painting & Finishing ever since.
